Living in Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC

My name is Rebecca and I am the Mortgage Mentor for beginner to veteran home purchases alike who want to get the best mortgage for their situations and journeys.

Believe it or not, I have actually been a Charlotte native for most of my life. I have grown up here in the Charlotte area and about three years ago, my family and I moved out to Fort Mill and I made this my home.

People from all areas call Charlotte home because wherever you're coming from, whatever that home was, you can find that here in Charlotte. And Fort Mill is a prime example of this. The reason that I love living here in Fort Mill is the amount of development. There is a variety of new restaurants and businesses that you can explore easily along with a cool downtown area that still has charm and history without it all being new. The combination is unique and gives you the best of both worlds.

I actually live in a smaller city which is called Tega Cay and Tega Cay was developed in the late 70s as actually a veteran community or vacation community for Charlotte. As luck would have it, my grandparents were actually some of the first people that built there in 1974. Many years later, my family and I also built in Tega Cay - not in the same street but pretty close and that's kind of how life has come full-circle for us.

So if you're thinking about moving to Charlotte, make sure that you look at some of the surrounding cities. People call them ex-burbs or suburbs and each one is a beautiful little town that makes visiting the city very feasible while also having all of the characteristics you need to call it home.

Overall, both Charlotte and Fort Mill are wonderful places to live. Based on what you’re looking for lifestyle-wise, you can find a beautiful home and build a life you crave.
